This project involved a systematic evaluation of the Cambridge IGCSE Geography Coursebook, focusing on student engagement as a contextual and experience-based phenomenon. Rather than relying solely on test performance data, the evaluation applied a transactional (naturalistic) framework to assess how effectively the curriculum engages learners across multiple dimensions. The process combined a structured Performance Indicators Approach with an Expert Review (Inspection) Approach, using six key indicators of engaging teaching: relevance, inquiry-based learning, interactivity, visual design, inclusivity, and reflection. The result is a comprehensive, replicable evaluation tool that provides clear scoring, comparative unit analysis, and actionable recommendations for curriculum improvement.
